Our hotel (Yokohama Heiwa Plaza Hotel) is located in Naka-ku, Yokohama, in an area known as Bashamichi, which connects what is now the Kannai and Minato Mirai Shinko districts.
This area has been a key transportation hub since the time of Yokohama's port opening, with many foreigners traveling by horse-drawn carriage and introducing much of modern Western culture to the area. Even today, the area retains its exotic atmosphere, with brick-paved roads and gas-burning streetlights, evoking the atmosphere of the time. The Minatomirai and Kannai/Isezakicho areas are within walking distance, and the hotel is also conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Bashamichi Station on the Minatomirai Line, which takes you to Yokohama Chinatown, Yokohama's main dining destination, in just 2 stops and 4 minutes.
